Kupwara, May 13 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday said that the hospitals in border areas will be further strengthened and equipped to effectively respond to emergencies. Omar, during his visit to SDH Tangdhar, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) praised the courage and commitment of the doctors, nurses and support staff who despite being in the line of fire, continued to serve the people with unwavering dedication. “They stood firm in the face of crisis, saving lives without thinking of their own. Their resilience is commendable and deeply appreciated,” the Chief Minister said. Acknowledging the challenges faced by healthcare workers in border areas during emergencies, CM assured that hospitals in vulnerable regions like Tangdhar will be further strengthened. “We will ensure that border hospitals are equipped with the best facilities and emergency response infrastructure to handle crises more effectively in the future,” he stated. The Chief Minister also held a brief review meeting with the hospital administration to understand the gaps in resources and the additional needs that arose during the recent escalation—(KNO)
